Vegie WOK!! LLllove it!!

Vegetable wok was so easy, fast, and grunchy good that the truth is I ate it all week, and yet even the next. Wok has come back into my kitchen - here to stay.

I recommend otherwise the rice noodles instead of wheat. They will be somewhat lighter feel, and taste is in some way "more sophisticated" and not take so much attention from other raw materials from. You can find rice noodles now from bigger supermarkets, but in Asian food stores the selection is huge, as opposed to prices.

With lime and ginger-flavored broccoli cashew wok (for two)
1 small broccoli
2 carrots
frying (sesame) oil
4 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
fresh chilli to taste (or dried chili peppers)
half of lime juice
1 tsp sugar
1-2 tbsp soy sauce
white pepper
a handful of cashew nuts

100 g rice noodles

Peel carrots and cut cut them to sticks. Cut broccoli into pieces and garlic slices. Heat a wok or a large frying pan and put oil in the pan with vegetables, garlic, ginger, chili, lime juice, sugar and soy sauce. When putting the liquid immediately in the pan, will prevent the vegetables to be too loose, which is important in the pan. Wok it five to ten minutes until the vegetables are still slightly grunchy. Add the cashew nuts and fry for another minute or two. Season with white pepper.
Heat the water (do not even need to boil) and pour into a bowl of rice noodles on top. Allow to soak for 3-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the noodles until they are tender. Mix the wok-fried vegetables.

♥♥♥FOOD♥♥♥

Who loves food?? Well, i do. Maddly...!! Food is one of the best things in life!! I also love cooking, so i don't have to feel guilty of eating a lot. I've been working hard to get those almost perfect results, so i have right to enjoy it too!

I'm half asian, so asian food is big part of my life. Now days asian food is also quite trendy, so you can eat it as much you like. :D In my country most of the chinese or korean restaurants are pretty affordable even for college students and other people who likes to eat good food with low price.
A rising trend in finnish food culture, is vietnamese food. There's not too many vietnamese restaurants here in Finland and that if something is really sad... I also love vietnamese food, so i started to wonder where or how could i get some, that's good and also cheap..?
I started to consider my options, and i realized that the best way i can make it happen, is to do it by myself.
So one very easy and good recipe that i found from finnish food blog, tells you how to make delicious vietnamese spring rolls!
You need a thin Vietnamese rice paper rolls, and the thin rice noodles. Both are sold in Oriental food stores. Noodles will be completed very quickly: Heat a kettle or saucepan of water (do not have to be boiling) and pour the water over the noodles. Allow noodles to soak for about 3 minutes and drain. Rice papers do not need at this stage to do anything.

In addition, you need a whole bunch of fresh vegetables. I think that the rolls are well suited to the following:

- carrot
- sore throat
- avocado
- radish
- bean sprouts
- The spring onion and chives
- Fresh cilantro, mint, watercress and thaibasilika
- Strong flavoured lettuce (if you can find such as pak choi so all the better, but you can go with basic supermarket green vegies too. Iceberg lettuce I would not on the reels to spoil and iceberg lettuce may have been too bland, but for example, fresh spinach, heart of lettuce and romaine fit well - the main thing is that the salad is fresh flavor and good structure!)

Cut the lettuce into strips and avocados and cucumbers and carrots into thin sticks - this makes it much easier to stay together when your dipping the roll!
In addition, you will need some kind of protein. The most common seems to be prawns or tiger prawns, but the rolls are ideal, at least in the duck and pork, salmon, and why not tofu. I did this thing for the rollers frozen shrimp, which had been peeled, but which had not been cooked. (The difference, of course, you will notice the color of the crab - pink are pre-cooked, and you can use as they digested and flushed.)

This time, marinating defrosted prawns fried in oil, lime juice, chilli, coriander and salt and baked them quite quickly after the frying pan. You can also be cooked or grilled shrimp. Marinating is not required, since the dips are very strong-tasting.

Okay. Repeats: So now you have a ready wafers, ready to use rice noodles, chopped vegetables, and ready to use king prawn (or whatever you want to put any).

Put into a large bowl of lukewarm water and immerse in a bowl of rice paper. When the rice paper has softened, lift it on a plate. Rice paper to learn the correct softness will find just a fingertip feel when you have made a few rolls. If it is too hard, it is torn. Do not despair, if the rice-paper seems to be difficult to handle and it crumples or tears when lifting from the water - you can format it again on a platter. Nor do not annoyed small holes, they do not hurt anything.
Once you have laid in rice paper on a plate, pile stuffing at the bottom of the paper (but not quite at the bottom). Vietnam, I was taught that the crab is placed at the bottom so it will appear in the finished roll on top ("because it looks pretty"), but actually it dosen't matter how you fill the roll. Put some vegies on the prawn as well as a bunch of noodles.
Turn the bottom edge of rice paper on top of filling...
Turn the rice paper edges towards the center ...

... And roll! Try to make the roll fairly tight, it helps you when youre dipping and eating the roll!
And this is how! Now that you have prepared a Vietnamese summer roll! And before you know it, you have the whole plateful. Do you ever stacking on top of the rollers, because the wafers stuck together and thus rupture when pick the roll with you little lustful hand. This clear? The we are ready to rock!!

By the way, but first you need to dips. In this two recipes sauces, which are usually used in our roller evenings. Do not be afraid, the other is not ketchup - hoi sin sauce just makes it sometimes suspiciously red. Hoi sin sauce and fish sauce are usually found from the same stores as the rice paper.
The traditional Vietnamese sauce rolls

1 clove of garlic
fresh chilli to taste
1/2 lime juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon rice vinegar (you can also use white wine vinegar)
2 tablespoons Vietnamese fish sauce (you can also try the soy sauce, if you can not find fish sauce, or you do not like it)
1 cup of water

Chop the garlic and chili very finely and mix all ingredients together.

Peanutbutter sauce
4 tablespoons peanut butter (not the sweet one)
2 tablespoons hoi sin sauce
2 tablespoons sugar (or, depending on how sweet hoi sin sauce you use)
1 cup of water

Mix all ingredients together

I hope you guys enjoy this recipe!! They are delicious and easy to make! Please, go, try and comment! Tell me how you liked it!♥

Inspiring women Vol.2

Summer is coming, OMG! It's getting warmer and warmer! Yesterday i was in the park with my friend. We took some tea and chocolate with us and spent a lovely evening outside. :)

Recently my friend has been interested more pirate kind of dressing ans she's been inspiring me too! Her own icon has been lovely and beautiful captain Maggots.

So i'v started to think who or what is my source of inspiration?

Chompoo Araya half thai and half european actress and singer. Her style is elegant, girly and sexy! She's been voted for one of the most beautiful women in Thailand.
Isn't she beautiful and elegant?!
And second girl who inspires me with her glamorous and sexy style, is Pancake Khemanit. She is a thai acctress who was born in northern town name Chieng Mai. Both of her parents are from Thailand, wich is quite rare at theese days. They say in Thailand that the most beautiful girls come from north. ;)

Inspiring Women

Oh well! I know that u guys must be hating me of putting theese gyaru girl so much, but I just can't help mysylfe! I've been inspired by Ank Rouge (a popular japanese gyaru circle) and all the Popteen models for years. I love the way hoe their style changes from cute and girly to sexy and beautiful!

Of course i have alot fahsion icons; Audrey Hepburn is my biggest fashion icon. I love the way she looked, i love her movies, i lov her attitude that made her push herself harder with helping other people. She was a wonderful and modest person who had to suffer so much, and yet she didn't lose her faith in humanity!! She's one of those important and beutiful women that truly deservess the appreciation and valuation of the people!
Funny thing it does, audrey never thought that she was beautiful... In one of her movies she said: "I think my face looks funny..." She was a totally opposite of that time ideal woman. She didn't have those big boobs or blond hair like sexy and bold Marilyn Monroe. She was tiny, flat girl with dar hair, big brown eyes and a figure like fairy!
Now days it's hard to understand why so beutiful and brave woman thought that she was ugly...

Deep inside her she struggled with the demons from her past and the traumatic and hurtful feelings of loosing two babys to miscarriage. She was depressed and afraid of losing her whole family. Same time her work was physically tiring and painful... But still... most of the people remembers her as a brilliant acctress, fashion icon, mother and wife. She left so much behind, but also maid so many things immortal! The little Black, all th pictures and poster of her movies, songs and many other things; she's a great example of dazzling beauty and strong nature, with a handful of talent! I hope that other people could see Audrey with my eyes and try to identify to her... She was loving and careing person who tried to make people around her happy! 'Till th last day of her lífe...

To Audreys memorie; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993

Springtime fashion!

Yes! It's spring! It's getting warmer and warmer all the time, and guess what it means? It means bright colors, trench coats, lovely boots, over knee socks and new winds in fashion! Well, i'm still trying to find my own path in this season, BUT when i went to Gina Trico yesterday, i couldn't help myself... I bought this neon pink tank top with punch of bling bling in it!! It's super sweet, i love it! It payed 15 eur, but i think it was worth it. I also bought this lovely mini tank top in mint green, only 10 eur. It's perfect to use with super high waist skirt or jeans! I also saw some stunning shoes with HIGH heels in yellow, pink, cherry red, sailor blue, nude... I guess i have to go there and buy the nude and the yellow ones. :D
Today i also played with new eyeshadows! I tried turquoise, pink, peach, yellow, purple and blue! Loved them all!! Try it!! It's super fun sometimes just go with the flow and try something a bit crazy. As i said earlier, listen some music while your doing your hair or makeup, it really gets you the mood and the good feeling and helps you figure out what's the right choice for today. :3 I think it starts to be the season of using different kind of fake lashes too. Try something new and update your makeup bag and wardrobe!

My little sister is going to have her b-day parties on my place... o-o; Oh god, i hope it turns out okay...
It's sad when i can't do her makeup or hair 'cause her style is so different form mine, but at least I can make sure that her parties will be lovely. :) I guess i'll bake her a cake tomorrow. Hope she likes it. :3 Well, i'll follow my own directions and try to wear something different... Hmm. I'll figure it out tomorrow. :D At least i'll make new fake nails and try my new lashes! Wish me luck!

Hope you guys have happy and lovely SPRING!!<3, Siamese Princess

Faux Queens

Yes, I have found my destiny! I just had this weird idea in my head: I want to be drag queen. It has been there since i was a little girl and i first time found out about drag queens. Back then i thought that i'm not male so i can't do that, but couple days ago i found some information about faux queens! They are some kind of "female drag queens"!

I've always been really feminine person and admired those who are brave enough to carry out their super feminine or even exaggerated style! Harsh makeup, wigs, fake lashes and over sexy clothes are something that i've always wanted to wear but i didn't have the courage. No i'm anxious to get out there and try!

How to start?
I don't actually know. I already have some dragy clothes in my wardrobe, so i just concentrate in my make up and hair style. But i give a vice: Use a lot of animalia! Leopard print, zebra, feathers... They are more then perfect in exaggerated style! Play with effective colors! You want to look stylish and chic, but still a bit extraordinary.
Makeup!
And again, play with bright colors. Use your own color palette. Blond girls with blue eyes, use different shades of blue and green! Brunets with dark eyes, use warm colors or different shades of purple! You can do it with a good taste with little trying. With thick cat eye line and and great punch of mascara you put a final touch in your makeup.
Hair!
Big and bold hair is your crown! Make stylish and effective hair styles! Big curls or ribbons; roses, hats and braids, hell yea!

Go out and try. I think that the idea is quite wild and bold, but still something that everybody should try out! ;)

Gal Generation!

I'm an absolute fan of gyaru girl fashion! The idea of gyaru is to be young, happy and fashionable! I started gyaru three years ago when i was looking for something new and interesting. Gyaru is colorful, girly and cute style, and it stole my heart from the first glance.

Keywords in gyaru are BIG hair, strong makeup, tanned skin and latest fashion clothes.
It's not that precise; if your clothes are from H&M or Gina Trico, but are still pretty and fills the definition of gyaru style, there shouldn't be anybody blaming you of that. Also, if your hair is short and not long and voluminous naturally, no one is gonna bark at you if you use hair extensions. In the makeup you should use fake eyelashes and if it's possible use bigger circle contact lenses. Mine are 16 and 18 mm.
Long and strong nails are dream of any gyaru, so buy fake nails and decorate them until they spark! More bling bling, stuff and colors, much better!

Gyarus are party girls, so choose clothes that are pretty and girly, but also sexy! Gals are using alot of miniskirts, micro shorts, tank tops with cute print and very, VERY high heels.

Those who are interested to try gyaru, here some tutorials:

Colors! Part 2 (Better version)

So, today earlier i wrote about colors. I didn't have much time so it was quite messy. So, let's take a new shot!
As you all already know my favorite colors are red, white and blue. I already told how i use them and also gave some tips how YOU could use them! But to the color codes: winter, summer and fall. My skin tone is natural beige; a bit yellow but still warm. Many finnish people have pale skin tone that refracts in pink. (:D) Most of the Mediterranean people have beautiful "natural Olive" skin tone that is warm and golden tanned.  So, most of the western people has winter color code because of the paleness. In Asia we have many different color codes. The people who are really tanned can use summer code (pink, yellow, blue, green) and same with the most African people. But here in the western world we are used to warm brown and brick red (fall code), pastel colors (summer code) and light blue, pure white and grey ( winter code). People who has dark eyes and dark hair are most suitable in fall. Blond and light color eyed people are most suitable in winter. I think most of the summer colors suite with anybody if you only pic the right colors and shades. You just have to find out what color suites you the best! Ask a good friend of yours, who has an eye to the fashion, to help you picking up the right colors. Sometimes you can be totally blind to your own weaknesses, and that's why you should ask friends help in this task. Or if you want professional help, the shop assistant of the shop or a good cosmetologist could be great help! So just go and find out what is your color code. :)

Tip: There are final sales in many shops, so if you still find a nice poncho, parka or great huge wool shirt, go 'n' get them! Don't forget the over knees socks, lovely cotton tights or romantic lace shirts 'cause that's what spring is to become! Nude and pastels are in again + rock spirited print shirts and shorts! Get your spring and early summer clothing in cheap prices while you still have an opportunity!

Colors!

I love colors, and it's an important element in fashion. It's good for you know wich colors suits you the best, so now, take a look of youre skin tone! Mine is a bit yellow and still tanned like most of the asian skin tones. So wich colours suits me best?
Couple years ago i really didn't know wich colors were mine, so i just used everything i liked. That is a common mistake.
My favorite colours are red, white and blue and all those suits me well. Still, i have to pic the right shade of the color. Beacause my skin tone is quite warm, my eyes and hair are dark, my color code is autumn, and the warm colors are the best choise for me. So i have to be very careful when i use blue, because it's definitely cold one! But preuss blue, turqois and cyan fits me well if i combine some gold and brown with it!
Red is also a color that has to be careful with. It's very alarming color, and sometimes hard to coordinate. That why recommend various shades of it like warm orange kind of red or wine red, or even burgundy! Cherry red is the best color for the details and small layers. Even the red lips might be too much, so i give tip to be careful with it!
White is a pure color that is easy to combine with any color. I'm a huge fan of cream white! Creamy warn shade of white looks grate and classic with anything!.
If you want the color pop out, use black with it. Black gives live to the other colors and makes colors look clear and powerful!

So if you want to nknow what's youre color code, go to the nearest makeup studio and reserve a time for the color code analysis. I'ts great help in coordination and even in makeup!
